He added, “Just name your wages – I’ll pay whatever you want.” ¹ 

The reward ¹  which the righteous receive ²  is life; the recompense ³  which the wicked receive ⁴  is judgment. ⁵ 

Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. ¹ 

If he said, ¹  ‘The speckled animals ²  will be your wage,’ then the entire flock gave birth to speckled offspring. But if he said, ‘The streaked animals will be your wage,’ then the entire flock gave birth to streaked offspring.

for with guidance you wage your war, and with numerous advisers there is victory. ¹ 

but your father has humiliated ¹  me and changed my wages ten times. But God has not permitted him to do me any harm.

Like a servant ¹  longing for the evening shadow, ²  and like a hired man looking ³  for his wages, ⁴ 

Then I ¹  said to them, “If it seems good to you, pay me my wages, but if not, forget it.” So they weighed out my payment – thirty pieces of silver. ² 

Then Laban said to Jacob, “Should you work ¹  for me for nothing because you are my relative? ²  Tell me what your wages should be.”

You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. ¹  You must not withhold ²  the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.

Joshua campaigned against ¹  these kings for quite some time. ² 

Plans ¹  are established by counsel, so ²  make war ³  with guidance.

While I was watching, that horn began to wage war against the holy ones and was defeating ¹  them,

The one who reaps receives pay ¹  and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps can rejoice together.

For the payoff ¹  of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The wicked person ¹  earns ²  deceitful wages, ³  but the one who sows ⁴  righteousness reaps ⁵  a genuine ⁶  reward. ⁷ 

For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

This was my lot ¹  for twenty years in your house: I worked like a slave ²  for you – fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, but you changed my wages ten times!

Let me walk among ¹  all your flocks today and remove from them every speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb, ²  and the spotted or speckled goats. ³  These animals will be my wages. ⁴
