the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. ¹ 

Now this phrase “once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain.

I am fading away like a shadow at the end of the day; ¹  I am shaken off like a locust.

and the stars in the sky ¹  fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping ²  its unripe figs ³  when shaken by a fierce ⁴  wind.

The earth is broken in pieces, the earth is ripped to shreds, the earth shakes violently. ¹ 

“Immediately ¹  after the suffering ²  of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. ³ 

Suddenly a great earthquake occurred, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. Immediately all the doors flew open, and the bonds ¹  of all the prisoners came loose.

All your fortifications will be like fig trees ¹  with first-ripe fruit: ²  If they are shaken, ³  their figs ⁴  will fall ⁵  into the mouth of the eater! ⁶ 

People will be fainting from fear ¹  and from the expectation of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ² 

For David says about him, ‘I saw the Lord always in front of me, ¹  for he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken.

that it might seize the corners of the earth, ¹  and shake the wicked out of it?

not to be easily ¹  shaken from your composure or disturbed by any kind of spirit or message or letter allegedly from us, ²  to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here.

Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, ¹  will be poured ²  into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.” ³ 

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹ 

I constantly trust in the Lord; ¹  because he is at my right hand, I will not be upended.
