Therefore be resolved ¹  not to rehearse ²  ahead of time how to make your defense.

For I decided to be concerned about nothing ¹  among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

But Daniel made up his mind ¹  that he would not defile ²  himself with the royal delicacies or the royal wine. ³  He therefore asked the overseer of the court officials for permission not to defile himself.

Now after all these things had taken place, ¹  Paul resolved ²  to go to Jerusalem, ³  passing through Macedonia ⁴  and Achaia. ⁵  He said, ⁶  “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.” ⁷ 

I know ¹  what to do so that when I am put out of management, people will welcome me into their homes.’ ² 

Therefore we must not pass judgment on one another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister. ¹ 

Jehoshaphat was afraid, so he decided to seek the Lord’s advice. ¹  He decreed that all Judah should observe a fast.

His resolve ¹  is firm; he will not succumb to fear before he looks in triumph on his enemies.

but the villagers ¹  refused to welcome ²  him, because he was determined to go to Jerusalem. ³ 

Because he could not be persuaded, ¹  we said no more except, ²  “The Lord’s will be done.” ³ 

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. ¹ 

Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters!

And in this regard we pray for you always, that our God will make you worthy of his calling ¹  and fulfill by his power your every desire for goodness and every work of faith,

They were hiring advisers to oppose them, so as to frustrate their plans, throughout the time ¹  of King Cyrus of Persia until the reign of King Darius ²  of Persia. ³ 

All of them were wanting ¹  to scare us, supposing, “Their hands will grow slack from the work, and it won’t get done.” So now, strengthen my hands! ² 

I want ¹  to climb the palm tree, ²  and take hold of its fruit stalks. May your breasts be like the clusters of grapes, ³  and may the fragrance of your breath be like apricots! ⁴
