Remember Lot’s wife! ¹ 

A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, ¹  and likewise a wife to her husband.

The one bound to a wife should not seek divorce. The one released from a wife should not seek marriage. ¹ 

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified because of the wife, and the unbelieving wife because of her husband. ¹  Otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

For how do you know, wife, whether you will bring your husband to salvation? ¹  Or how do you know, husband, whether you will bring your wife to salvation? ² 

Nevertheless, ¹  each one of you must also love his own wife as he loves himself, ²  and the wife must ³  respect ⁴  her husband.

“It was said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a legal document.’ ¹ 

So ¹  he told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? ¹  For all seven had married her.” ² 

Now a man named Ananias, together with Sapphira his wife, sold a piece of property.

It is not the wife who has the rights to her own body, but the husband. In the same way, it is not the husband who has the rights to his own body, but the wife.

When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord ¹  told him. He took his wife,

Now I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another commits adultery.”

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.” ¹ 

For John had repeatedly told ¹  Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” ² 

Then some Pharisees ¹  came, and to test him ²  they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his ³  wife?” ⁴ 

In the resurrection, when they rise again, ¹  whose wife will she be? For all seven had married her.” ² 

After some time ¹  his wife Elizabeth became pregnant, ²  and for five months she kept herself in seclusion. ³  She said, ⁴ 

After an interval of about three hours, ¹  his wife came in, but she did not know ²  what had happened.
