Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy-seven times! ¹ 

Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother ¹  who sins against me? As many as seven times?”

But ¹  other seed fell on good soil and produced grain, sprouting and growing; some yielded thirty times as much, some sixty, and some a hundred times.”

Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive ¹  him.”

At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and afflictions, and at other times you came to share with others who were treated in that way.

This happened three times, and immediately the object was taken up into heaven. ¹ 

This happened three times, and then everything was pulled up to heaven again.

Five times I received from the Jews forty lashes less one. ¹ 

I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me.

But understand this, that in the last days difficult ¹  times will come.

Three times I was beaten with a rod. ¹  Once I received a stoning. ²  Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.

I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, ¹  whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

Then ¹  I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their ²  number was ten thousand times ten thousand ³  – thousands times thousands –

who will not receive many times more ¹  in this age ²  – and in the age to come, eternal life.” ³ 

Therefore, although God has overlooked ¹  such times of ignorance, ²  he now commands all people ³  everywhere to repent, ⁴ 

He was foreknown ¹  before the foundation of the world but ²  was manifested in these last times ³  for your sake.

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, ¹  on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly. ¹ 

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, ¹  today – this very night – before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”
