Many gave false testimony against him, but their testimony did not agree.

If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because ¹  this ²  is the testimony of God that ³  he has testified concerning his Son.

Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: ¹ 

Yet even on this point their testimony did not agree.

“If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.

The one who has accepted his testimony has confirmed clearly that God is truthful. ¹ 

(I do not accept ¹  human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.)

So the Pharisees ¹  objected, ²  “You testify about yourself; your testimony is not true!” ³ 

It is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. ¹ 

just as the testimony about Christ has been confirmed among you –

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

There is another ¹  who testifies about me, and I know the testimony he testifies about me is true.

Such testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply that they may be healthy in the faith

For here is the testimony about him: ¹  “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” ² 

Indeed, I will also make every effort that, after my departure, you have a testimony of these things. ¹ 

And this is the testimony: God ¹  has given us eternal life, ²  and this life is in his Son.

who then ¹  testified to everything that he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony about ²  Jesus Christ.

After ¹  these things I looked, and the temple (the tent ²  of the testimony) ³  was opened in heaven,
