¹ Wives, submit ²  to your husbands as to the Lord,

Foreigners are powerless before me; ¹  when they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. ² 

The one true God completely vindicates me; ¹  he makes nations submit to me. ² 

So now, you kings, do what is wise; ¹  you rulers of the earth, submit to correction! ² 

When they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. ¹  Foreigners are powerless ²  before me;

The one true God ¹  completely vindicates me; ²  he makes nations submit to me. ³ 

But my people did not obey me; ¹  Israel did not submit to me. ² 

Wives, submit to your ¹  husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Then the Lord’s angel said to her, “Return to your mistress and submit ¹  to her authority.

Joshua said, ¹  “Now put aside the foreign gods that are among you and submit to ²  the Lord God of Israel.”

Then ¹  the king will be attracted by ²  your beauty. After all, he is your master! Submit ³  to him! ⁴ 

Then ¹  the seventy-two ²  returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to ³  us in your name!” ⁴ 

Nevertheless, do not rejoice that ¹  the spirits submit to you, but rejoice ²  that your names stand written ³  in heaven.”

also to submit to people like this, and to everyone who cooperates in the work and labors hard.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

You will oversee my household, and all my people will submit to your commands. ¹  Only I, the king, will be greater than you. ² 

The Lord was with him; he succeeded in all his endeavors. ¹  He rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to submit to him. ² 

who loves me ¹  and is my stronghold, my refuge ²  and my deliverer, my shield and the one in whom I take shelter, who makes nations submit to me. ³ 

He will have control over the hidden stores of gold and silver, as well as all the treasures of Egypt. Libyans and Ethiopians ¹  will submit to him. ²
