For it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

But Jesus ¹  was speaking about the temple of his body. ² 

After they stopped speaking, ¹  James replied, ²  “Brothers, listen to me.

I am speaking to thoughtful people. Consider what I say.

He was speaking and debating ¹  with the Greek-speaking Jews, ²  but they were trying to kill him.

For the one speaking in a tongue does not speak to people but to God, for no one understands; he is speaking mysteries by the Spirit. ¹ 

Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist.

Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.”

Jesus told him, “You have seen him; he ¹  is the one speaking with you.” ² 

His disciples said, “Look, now you are speaking plainly ¹  and not in obscure figures of speech! ² 

Completely baffled, they said, ¹  “Aren’t ²  all these who are speaking Galileans?

for they heard them speaking in tongues and praising ¹  God. Then Peter said,

And if someone sitting down receives a revelation, the person who is speaking should conclude.

This mystery is great – but I am actually ¹  speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

Now at that very moment his disciples came back. ¹  They were shocked ²  because he was speaking ³  with a woman. However, no one said, “What do you want?” ⁴  or “Why are you speaking with her?”

When ¹  the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

Now ¹  while some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned ²  with beautiful stones and offerings, ³  Jesus ⁴  said,

Then they secretly instigated ¹  some men to say, “We have heard this man ²  speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

So Philip started speaking, ¹  and beginning with this scripture ²  proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.

Then Peter started speaking: ¹  “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people, ²
