When worries threaten to overwhelm me, ¹  your soothing touch makes me happy. ² 

I will lay your cities waste ¹  and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will refuse to smell your soothing aromas.

You can present them to the Lord as an offering of first fruit, ¹  but they must not go up to the altar for a soothing aroma.

Moses then took them from their palms and offered them up in smoke on the altar ¹  on top of the burnt offering – they were an ordination offering for a soothing aroma; it was a gift to the Lord.

along with its grain offering, two tenths of an ephah of ¹  choice wheat flour ²  mixed with olive oil, as a gift to the Lord, a soothing aroma, ³  and its drink offering, one fourth of a hin of wine. ⁴ 

As for my food that I gave you – the fine flour, olive oil, and honey I fed you – you placed it before them as a soothing aroma. That is exactly what happened, declares the sovereign Lord.

When I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, I will accept you along with your soothing aroma. I will display my holiness among you in the sight of the nations.

And the Lord smelled the soothing aroma ¹  and said ²  to himself, ³  “I will never again curse ⁴  the ground because of humankind, even though ⁵  the inclination of their minds ⁶  is evil from childhood on. ⁷  I will never again destroy everything that lives, as I have just done.

Finally, the one presenting the offering ¹  must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altar ²  – it is ³  a burnt offering, a gift ⁴  of a soothing aroma to the Lord.
