Then ¹  Jesus ²  said, “A man had two sons.

to James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, ¹  he gave the name Boanerges (that is, “sons of thunder”);

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, and kneeling down she asked him for a favor. ¹ 

In fact, they can no longer die, because they are equal to angels ¹  and are sons of God, since they are ²  sons ³  of the resurrection.

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.

But if you do not experience discipline, ¹  something all sons ²  have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons.

After he said, “From foreigners,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons ¹  are free.

He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and became anguished and distressed.

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are ¹  the sons of God.

For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God.

so then, understand ¹  that those who believe are the sons of Abraham. ² 

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. ¹ 

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. ¹ 

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights. ¹ 

And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls ¹  “Abba! ²  Father!”

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹ 

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons ¹  cast them ²  out? For this reason they will be your judges.

“What ¹  do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’
