Wash away my wrongdoing! ¹  Cleanse me of my sin! ² 

the assembly must present a young bull for a sin offering when the sin they have committed ¹  becomes known. They must bring it before the Meeting Tent,

or his sin that he committed ¹  is made known to him, ²  he must bring a flawless female goat ³  as his offering for the sin ⁴  that he committed.

He must lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter ¹  the sin offering in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.

Then he brought near the sin offering bull ¹  and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the sin offering bull,

So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the sin offering calf which was for himself.

Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; ignore the stubbornness, wickedness, and sin of these people.

Now please forgive my sin! Go back with me so I can worship ¹  the Lord.”

This caused Israel to sin; ¹  the people went to Bethel and Dan to worship the calves. ² 

In all this Job did not sin, nor did he charge God with moral impropriety. ¹

for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin. ¹
