the Lord’s tribute from the sheep was 675.

and 600 bulls and 3,000 sheep ¹  were consecrated.

I will save my sheep; they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another.

¹ (21:37) ²  “If a man steals an ox or a sheep and kills it or sells it, he must pay back ³  five head of cattle for the ox, and four sheep for the one sheep. ⁴ 

The hired hand, ¹  who is not a shepherd and does not own sheep, sees the wolf coming and abandons ²  the sheep and runs away. ³  So the wolf attacks ⁴  the sheep and scatters them.

“‘As for you, my sheep, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am about to judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.

“‘Therefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says to them: Look, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

And you, my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are my people, ¹  and I am your God, declares the sovereign Lord.’”

The doorkeeper ¹  opens the door ²  for him, ³  and the sheep hear his voice. He ⁴  calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. ⁵ 

When he has brought all his own sheep ¹  out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize ²  his voice.

If he presents a sheep as his offering, he must present it before the Lord.

“Tell the Israelites, ‘You must not eat any fat of an ox, sheep, or goat.

You must not slaughter an ox or a sheep and its young ¹  on the same day. ² 

The half-portion of those who went to war numbered 337,500 sheep;
