Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,

The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them,

A worthless and wicked person ¹  walks around saying perverse ²  things; ³ 

So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you ¹  will Israel bless, ²  saying, ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.’” So he put Ephraim before Manasseh. ³ 

Listen to what they are saying to me. ¹  They are saying, “Where are the things the Lord threatens us with? Come on! Let’s see them happen!” ² 

She named him Joseph, ¹  saying, “May the Lord give me yet another son.”

So they sent word ¹  to Joseph, saying, “Your father gave these instructions before he died:

The Lord set ¹  an appointed time, saying, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this ²  in the land.”

So the people murmured ¹  against Moses, saying, “What can ²  we drink?”

¹ Then Israel sent messengers to King Sihon of the Amorites, saying, ² 

It was reported to Saul saying, “David is at Naioth in Ramah.”

But a messenger came to Saul saying, “Come quickly, for the Philistines have raided the land!”

The woman conceived and then sent word to David saying, “I’m pregnant.”

saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.”

saying, ¹  “Don’t touch my anointed ones! Don’t harm my prophets!”

They sent for him ¹  and Jeroboam and all Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying,

They settled down in it and built in it a temple ¹  to honor you, ²  saying,

The righteous see their destruction ¹  and rejoice; the innocent mock them scornfully, ²  saying,

Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, ¹  saying, ² 

I will declare a wise saying; ¹  I will share my profound thoughts. ²
