This brought him a reward, an eternal gift. ¹ 

Look, the Lord announces to the entire earth: ¹  “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘Look, your deliverer comes! Look, his reward is with him and his reward goes before him!’” ² 

Let him not trust in what is worthless, ¹  deceiving himself; for worthlessness will be his reward. ² 

Certainly ¹  you reward ²  the godly, ³  Lord. Like a shield you protect ⁴  them ⁵  in your good favor. ⁶ 

Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; ¹  those who obey them receive a rich reward. ² 

Yes, ¹  sons ²  are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

The reward ¹  which the righteous receive ²  is life; the recompense ³  which the wicked receive ⁴  is judgment. ⁵ 

The wicked person ¹  earns ²  deceitful wages, ³  but the one who sows ⁴  righteousness reaps ⁵  a genuine ⁶  reward. ⁷ 

The reward ¹  for humility ²  and fearing the Lord ³  is riches and honor and life.

for you will heap coals of fire on his head, ¹  and the Lord will reward you. ² 

Now may the Lord show you true kindness! ¹  I also will reward you, ²  because you have done this deed.

For you, O God, hear my vows; you grant me the reward that belongs to your loyal followers. ¹

May the Lord reward your efforts! ¹  May your acts of kindness be repaid fully ²  by the Lord God of Israel, from whom you have sought protection!” ³ 

I will cross the Jordan with the king and go a short distance. ¹  Why should the king reward me in this way?

So I perceived there is nothing better than for people ¹  to enjoy their work, ²  because that is their ³  reward; for who can show them what the future holds? ⁴ 

For the living know that they will die, but the dead do not know anything; they have no further reward – and even the memory of them disappears. ¹ 

Look, the sovereign Lord comes as a victorious warrior; ¹  his military power establishes his rule. ²  Look, his reward is with him; his prize goes before him. ³ 

But I thought, ¹  “I have worked in vain; I have expended my energy for absolutely nothing.” ²  But the Lord will vindicate me; my God will reward me. ³
