You hear prayers; ¹  all people approach you. ² 

then listen from heaven to their prayers for help ¹  and vindicate them. ² 

then listen from your heavenly dwelling place to their prayers for help ¹  and vindicate them. ²

“Now, my God, may you be attentive and responsive to the prayers offered in this place. ¹ 

Now I will be attentive and responsive to the prayers offered in this place. ¹ 

Then you will take delight in the Lord, ¹  and he will answer your prayers. ² 

This collection of the prayers of David son of Jesse ends here. ¹ 

then listen from your heavenly dwelling place to their prayers for help, ¹  vindicate them, ²  and forgive your sinful people.

When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, ¹  I will hear your prayers. ² 

When they hear about your great reputation ¹  and your ability to accomplish mighty deeds, ²  they will come and direct their prayers toward this temple.

“May you be attentive ¹  to your servant’s and your people Israel’s requests for help and may you respond to all their prayers to you. ² 

He appointed some of the Levites to serve before the ark of the Lord, to offer prayers, songs of thanks, and hymns to the Lord God of Israel.

The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The Lord responded favorably to them ¹  as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.

My God, I cry out during the day, but you do not answer, and during the night my prayers do not let up. ¹ 

When they were sick, I wore sackcloth, ¹  and refrained from eating food. ²  (If I am lying, may my prayers go unanswered!) ³ 

When the Moabites plead with all their might at their high places, ¹  and enter their temples to pray, their prayers will be ineffective! ² 

The Lord will strike Egypt, striking and then healing them. They will turn to the Lord and he will listen to their prayers ¹  and heal them.

But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers. ¹ 

Then David built an altar for the Lord there and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. And the Lord accepted prayers for the land, and the plague was removed from Israel.
