These curses ¹  will be a perpetual sign and wonder with reference to you and your descendants. ² 

The Israelites must keep the Sabbath by observing the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.

Moreover, ¹  the open field areas of their cities ²  must not be sold, because that is their perpetual possession.

Now you are condemned to perpetual servitude as woodcutters and water carriers for the house of my God.” ¹ 

This is ¹  a perpetual statute throughout your generations ²  in all the places where you live: You must never eat any fat or any blood.’” ³ 

This is what the Lord commanded to give to them from the Israelites on the day Moses ¹  anointed them ²  – a perpetual allotted portion throughout their generations. ³

As for ¹  the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities which they possess, ²  the Levites must have a perpetual right of redemption.

May Joab and his descendants be perpetually guilty of their shed blood, but may the Lord give perpetual peace to David, his descendants, his family, ¹  and his dynasty.” ²

I will confirm ¹  my covenant as a perpetual ²  covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you. ³ 

God said, “No, Sarah your wife is going to bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. ¹  I will confirm my covenant with him as a perpetual ²  covenant for his descendants after him.

and wrap the sashes around Aaron and his sons ¹  and put headbands on them, and so the ministry of priesthood will belong to them by a perpetual ordinance. Thus you are to consecrate ²  Aaron and his sons.
