He came to what was his own, ¹  but ²  his own people ³  did not receive him. ⁴ 

“I am the good shepherd. I ¹  know my own ²  and my own know me –

Everyone ¹  went to his own town ²  to be registered.

(For not even his own brothers believed in him.) ¹ 

¹ [[And each one departed to his own house.

I, Paul, send this greeting with my own hand.

For each one will carry ¹  his own load.

But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with ¹  his own wife and each woman with ²  her own husband.

But if someone does not provide for his own, ¹  especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” ¹ 

Then the Pharisees ¹  went out and planned together to entrap him with his own words. ² 

Then ¹  they sent some of the Pharisees ²  and Herodians ³  to trap him with his own words. ⁴ 

When a strong man, ¹  fully armed, guards his own palace, ²  his possessions are safe. ³ 

Whoever does not carry his own cross ¹  and follow ²  me cannot be my disciple.

And Peter said, “Look, we have left everything we own ¹  to follow you!” ² 

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) ¹ 

And how is it that each one of us hears them ¹  in our own native language? ² 

In ¹  past ²  generations he allowed all the nations ³  to go their own ways,

Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person.

So ¹  I made up my own mind ²  not to pay you another painful visit. ³
