As ¹  Death and Destruction are never satisfied, ²  so the eyes of a person ³  are never satisfied. ⁴ 

ח (Khet) The Lord’s loyal kindness ¹  never ceases; ²  his compassions ³  never end.

Night pierces ¹  my bones; ²  my gnawing pains ³  never cease.

The leech ¹  has two daughters: ²  “Give! Give!” ³  There are three things that are never satisfied, four ⁴  that never say, “Enough” ⁵  –

And I said, “Ah, sovereign Lord, I have never been ceremonially defiled before. I have never eaten a carcass or an animal torn by wild beasts; from my youth up, unclean meat ¹  has never entered my mouth.”

The jar of flour was never empty and the jug of oil never ran out, just as the Lord had promised ¹  through Elijah.

The one who loves money ¹  will never be satisfied with money, ²  he who loves wealth ³  will never be satisfied ⁴  with his ⁵  income. This also is futile.

I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again because of all your abominable practices. ¹ 

“Be careful ¹  never to take my son back there!” Abraham told him. ² 

and 32,000 young women who had never had sexual intercourse with a man. ¹ 

Remember ¹  that my life is but a breath, that ²  my eyes will never again ³  see happiness.

before I depart, never to return, ¹  to the land of darkness and the deepest shadow, ² 

Why do you pursue me like God does? ¹  Will you never be satiated with my flesh? ² 

And another man ¹  dies in bitterness of soul, ²  never having tasted ³  anything good.

Have you never questioned those who travel the roads? Do you not recognize their accounts ¹  –

If his children increase – it is for the sword! ¹  His offspring never have enough to eat. ² 

He says to himself, ¹  “I will never ²  be upended, because I experience no calamity.” ³ 

He says to himself, ¹  “God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.” ² 

In my self-confidence I said, “I will never be upended.” ¹ 

But he will join his ancestors; ¹  they will never again see the light of day. ²
