If anyone has ears to hear, he had better listen!” ¹ 

Agrippa ¹  said to Festus, ²  “I would also like to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” he replied, ³  “you will hear him.”

For I tell you the truth, ¹  many prophets and righteous people longed to see ²  what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to see ¹  what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand.

Jesus answered them, ¹  “Go tell John what you hear and see: ² 

He will not quarrel or cry out, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.

“But your eyes are blessed ¹  because they see, and your ears because they hear.

And he said, “Whoever has ears to hear had better listen!” ¹ 

Others are the ones sown among thorns: They are those who hear the word,

But he replied, ¹  “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey ²  it!”

Now all the tax collectors ¹  and sinners were coming ²  to hear him.

What then should we do? They will no doubt ¹  hear that you have come.

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  a time ²  is coming – and is now here – when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?”
