My eyes ¹  grow dim ²  from suffering; they grow weak ³  because of all my enemies. ⁴ 

The godly ¹  grow like a palm tree; they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon. ² 

I planted, ¹  Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow.

Their young grow strong, and grow up in the open; ¹  they go off, and do not return to them.

I will make cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees grow in the wilderness; I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert.

The man became wealthy. ¹  His influence continued to grow ²  until he became very prominent.

His hair ¹  began to grow back after it had been shaved off.

Can the papyrus plant grow tall ¹  where there is no marsh? Can reeds flourish ²  without water?

“Why do the wicked go on living, ¹  grow old, ²  even increase in power?

the root ¹  your right hand planted, the shoot you made to grow! ² 

Planted in the Lord’s house, they grow in the courts of our God.

You ¹  will eat what you worked so hard to grow. ²  You will be blessed and secure. ³ 

and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold.

In this way the word of the Lord ¹  continued to grow in power ²  and to prevail. ³ 

But you, brothers and sisters, ¹  do not grow weary in doing what is right.

They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment,

when those who keep watch over the house ¹  begin to tremble, ²  and the virile men begin to stoop over, ³  and the grinders ⁴  begin to cease because they grow few, and those who look through the windows grow dim, ⁵ 

Evergreens will grow in place of thorn bushes, firs will grow in place of nettles; they will be a monument to the Lord, ¹  a permanent reminder that will remain. ² 

The water made it grow; underground springs made it grow tall. Rivers flowed all around the place it was planted, while smaller channels watered all the trees of the field. ¹ 

Samuel continued to grow, and the Lord was with him. None of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled. ¹
