You are good and you do good. Teach me your statutes!

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to the morally upright! ¹ 

“For ¹  no good tree bears bad ²  fruit, nor again ³  does a bad tree bear good fruit,

“I am the good ¹  shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life ²  for the sheep.

Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person.

The good person ¹  brings good things out of his ²  good treasury, ³  and the evil person brings evil things out of his evil treasury.

The Lord speaks; ¹  many, many women spread the good news. ² 

They repay me evil for good, ¹  and hate for love.

There ¹  they continued to proclaim ²  the good news.

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

But examine all things; hold fast to what is good.

A good name ¹  is to be chosen ²  rather than great wealth, good favor ³  more than silver or gold.

In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad ¹  tree bears bad fruit.

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit.

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? ¹  No one is good except God alone.

Jesus ¹  said to him, “Why do you call me good? ²  No one is good except God alone.

Tell them to do good, ¹  to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others. ² 

Those who call evil good and good evil are as good as dead, ¹  who turn darkness into light and light into darkness, who turn bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter. ² 

The good person out of the good treasury of his ¹  heart ²  produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasury ³  produces evil, for his mouth speaks ⁴  from what fills ⁵  his heart.

The seven good cows represent seven years, and the seven good heads of grain represent seven years. Both dreams have the same meaning. ¹
