He appointed twelve: ¹  To Simon ²  he gave the name Peter;

Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: ¹ 

So ¹  they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink.

He brought his head on a platter and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.

Therefore if God ¹  gave them the same gift ²  as he also gave us after believing ³  in the Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴  who was I to hinder ⁵  God?”

and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.” ¹ 

Then Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.

Many gave false testimony against him, but their testimony did not agree.

When Pilate ¹  was informed by the centurion, ²  he gave the body to Joseph.

But Jesus ¹  said to him, “A man once gave a great banquet ²  and invited ³  many guests. ⁴ 

So ¹  Herod ²  questioned him at considerable length; Jesus ³  gave him no answer.

I glorified you on earth by completing ¹  the work you gave me to do. ² 

who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment. ¹ 

Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he captured ¹  captives; he gave gifts to men.” ² 

Husbands, love your ¹  wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her

As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,

For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

Then ¹  he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.
