I gave Gilead to Machir. ¹ 

Bilhah became pregnant ¹  and gave Jacob a son. ² 

Soon Leah’s servant Zilpah gave Jacob a son. ¹ 

Then Leah’s servant Zilpah gave Jacob another son. ¹ 

His sister Hammoleketh gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

The man said, “The woman whom you gave me, she gave ¹  me some fruit ²  from the tree and I ate it.”

So Abimelech gave ¹  sheep, cattle, and male and female servants to Abraham. He also gave his wife Sarah back to him.

Then he ¹  brought out gold, silver jewelry, and clothing and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave valuable gifts to her brother and to her mother.

The servant in charge ¹  brought the men into Joseph’s house. He gave them water, and they washed their feet. Then he gave food to their donkeys.

So the sons of Israel did as he said. ¹  Joseph gave them wagons as Pharaoh had instructed, ²  and he gave them provisions for the journey.

He gave sets of clothes to each one of them, ¹  but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five sets of clothes. ²

So Hagar gave birth to Abram’s son, whom Abram named Ishmael. ¹ 

(Now ¹  Abram was 86 years old ²  when Hagar gave birth to Ishmael.) ³ 

(Laban gave his female servant Zilpah to his daughter Leah to be her servant.) ¹ 

(Laban gave his female servant Bilhah to his daughter Rachel to be her servant.) ¹ 

Bilhah, Rachel’s servant, became pregnant again and gave Jacob another son. ¹ 

Leah became pregnant again and gave Jacob a son for the sixth time. ¹ 

After that she gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah.
