For it is better to suffer for doing good, if God wills it, ¹  than for doing evil.

Some people standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

Now because Jesus was doing these things ¹  on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders ²  began persecuting ³  him.

(Now seven sons of a man named ¹  Sceva, a Jewish high priest, were doing this.) ² 

nor can they prove ¹  to you the things ²  they are accusing me of doing. ³ 

But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me.

Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, just as you are in fact doing.

But you, brothers and sisters, ¹  do not grow weary in doing what is right.

For God wants you ¹  to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

For all who ¹  rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.” ² 

But when you do your giving, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

So ¹  the Pharisees ²  said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?”

and said, “By what authority ¹  are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

But some of the Pharisees ¹  said, “Why are you ²  doing what is against the law ³  on the Sabbath?”

So then the Jewish leaders ¹  responded, ²  “What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?” ³ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “You do not understand ²  what I am doing now, but you will understand ³  after these things.”

which I was doing when they found me in the temple, ritually purified, ¹  without a crowd or a disturbance. ² 

“While doing this very thing, ¹  as I was going ²  to Damascus with authority and complete power ³  from the chief priests,

and as they were leaving they said to one another, ¹  “This man is not doing anything deserving ²  death or imprisonment.”

Whatever you are doing, ¹  work at it with enthusiasm, ²  as to the Lord and not for people, ³
