For this reason all hands hang limp, ¹  every human heart loses its courage. ² 

But immediately Jesus ¹  spoke to them: ²  “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.

Those who are champions ¹  at drinking wine are as good as dead, ²  who display great courage when mixing strong drinks.

And now, Lord, pay attention to ¹  their threats, and grant ²  to your servants ³  to speak your message ⁴  with great courage, ⁵ 

But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” ¹  And the woman was healed ²  from that hour.

And now I advise ¹  you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost. ² 

Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God ¹  that it will be just as I have been told.

Therefore we are always full of courage, and we know that as long as we are alive here on earth ¹  we are absent from the Lord –

Thus we are full of courage and would prefer to be away ¹  from the body and at home with the Lord.

When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. ¹  For the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!
