So ¹  they left the town and began coming ²  to him.

Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”

Now all the tax collectors ¹  and sinners were coming ²  to hear him.

The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine, ¹ 

The true light, who gives light to everyone, ¹  was coming into the world. ² 

who is coming after me. I am not worthy ¹  to untie the strap ²  of his sandal!”

This is the reason I was often hindered from coming to you.

Some have become arrogant, ¹  as if I were not coming to you.

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. ¹ 

tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,

For just a little longer ¹  and he who is coming will arrive and not delay. ² 

Come now, you rich! Weep and cry aloud ¹  over the miseries that are coming on you.

The first woe has passed, but ¹  two woes are still coming after these things!

The second woe has come and gone; ¹  the third is coming quickly.

But when he saw many Pharisees ¹  and Sadducees ²  coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

After ¹  Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the ²  heavens ³  opened ⁴  and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove ⁵  and coming on him.

Now at one point ¹  the Pharisees ²  asked Jesus ³  when the kingdom of God ⁴  was coming, so he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs ⁵  to be observed,

For just like the days of Noah ¹  were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, ¹  and at that time ²  they will fast.

But those days are coming, and when the bridegroom is taken from them, ¹  at that time ²  they will fast.”
