This is the account of Isaac, ¹  the son of Abraham. Abraham became the father of Isaac.

What follows is the account of Esau (also known as Edom). ¹ 

I wrote ¹  the former ²  account, ³  Theophilus, ⁴  about all that Jesus began to do and teach

Therefore, each of us will give an account of himself to God. ¹ 

So then, even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did wrong, or on account of the one who was wronged, but to reveal to you your eagerness on our behalf ¹  before God.

This is the account of Esau, the father ¹  of the Edomites, in the hill country of Seir.

I myself will also walk in hostility against you and strike you ¹  seven times on account of your sins.

and called David’s enemies to account.” So Jonathan made a covenant ¹  with the house of David. ² 

The account of his intervention ¹  will be recorded for future generations; people yet to be born will praise the Lord.

I ¹  tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

Now ¹  many have undertaken to compile an account ²  of the things ³  that have been fulfilled ⁴  among us,

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

This is the account ¹  of the heavens and the earth ²  when they were created – when the Lord God ³  made the earth and heavens. ⁴ 

This is the account of Noah. ¹  Noah was a godly man; he was blameless ²  among his contemporaries. ³  He ⁴  walked with ⁵  God.

This is the account ¹  of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons ²  were born ³  to them after the flood.

This is the account of Shem. Shem was 100 old when he became the father of Arphaxad, two years after the flood.

This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.

So tell them ¹  you are my sister ²  so that it may go well ³  for me because of you and my life will be spared ⁴  on account of you.”

and he did treat Abram well ¹  on account of her. Abram received ²  sheep and cattle, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.
