From him will come the cornerstone, ¹  the wall peg, ²  the battle bow, and every ruler. ³ 

You must leave nothing until morning, but you must burn with fire whatever remains of it until morning.

Can wood be taken from it to make anything useful? Or can anyone make a peg from it to hang things on?

They were saying to God, ‘Turn away from us,’ and ‘What can the Almighty do to us?’ ¹ 

That is why I am terrified in his presence; when I consider, I am afraid because of him.

Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! ¹  For he is the one who gives me confidence. ² 

As far as the eastern horizon ¹  is from the west, ²  so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions ³  from us.

He loved to curse ¹  others, so those curses have come upon him. ²  He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings. ³ 

Guard your heart with all vigilance, ¹  for from it are the sources ²  of life.

Folly is bound up ¹  in the heart of a child, ²  but the rod of discipline ³  will drive it far from him.

Do you see ¹  a man wise in his own eyes? ²  There is more hope for a fool ³  than for him.

Do you see someone ¹  who is hasty in his words? ²  There is more hope for a fool than for him. ³
