So the young prophet ¹  went to Ramoth Gilead.

Then he became very attached ¹  to Dinah, Jacob’s daughter. He fell in love with the young woman and spoke romantically to her. ² 

Then the father and mother of the young woman must produce the evidence of virginity ¹  for the elders of the city at the gate.

I prayed for this boy, and the Lord has given me the request that I asked of him.

He said to his father, “My head! My head!” His father ¹  told a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”
