He does not allow the wicked to live, ¹  but he gives justice to the poor.

But now you are preoccupied with the judgment due the wicked, judgment and justice take hold of you.

To receive ¹  moral instruction ²  in skillful living, ³  in ⁴  righteousness, ⁵  justice, ⁶  and equity. ⁷ 

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable ¹  to the Lord than sacrifice. ² 

The Lord promotes ¹  equity and justice; the Lord’s faithfulness extends throughout the earth. ² 

Dark clouds surround him; equity and justice are the foundation of his throne. ¹ 

A psalm of David. I will sing about loyalty and justice! To you, O Lord, I will sing praises!

His acts are characterized by ¹  faithfulness and justice; all his precepts are reliable. ² 

Then you will understand ¹  righteousness and justice and equity – every ²  good ³  way. ⁴ 

One law and one custom must apply to you and to the resident foreigner who lives alongside you.’”

That day Joshua drew up an agreement ¹  for the people, and he established rules and regulations ²  for them in Shechem.

As for the Almighty, ¹  we cannot attain to him! He is great in power, but justice ²  and abundant righteousness he does not oppress.

Equity and justice are the foundation of your throne. ¹  Loyal love and faithfulness characterize your rule. ² 

Whoever obeys his ¹  command will not experience harm, and a wise person ²  knows the proper time ³  and procedure.

For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, for the oppression ¹  of the king ²  is severe upon his victim. ³ 

“Judgment will come on the cities on the high plain: ¹  on Holon, Jahzah, and Mephaath,

But you must return ¹  to your God, by maintaining love and justice, and by waiting ²  for your God to return to you. ³ 

He cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him ¹  a tree. ²  When Moses ³  threw it into the water, the water became safe to drink. There the Lord ⁴  made for them ⁵  a binding ordinance, ⁶  and there he tested ⁷  them.

Now the priests would always treat the people in the following way: ¹  Whenever anyone was making a sacrifice, while the meat was boiling, the priest’s attendant would come with a three-pronged fork ²  in his hand.

Absalom would then say, “If only they would make me ¹  a judge in the land! Then everyone who had a judicial complaint ²  could come to me and I would make sure he receives a just settlement.”
