And when ¹  the cloud remained only ²  from evening until morning, when the cloud was taken up ³  the following morning, then they traveled on. Whether by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up they traveled.

The glory of the Lord resided ¹  on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. ²  On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.

Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

This is the way it used to be continually: The cloud would cover it by day, ¹  and there was a fiery appearance by night.

He did not remove the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people. ¹ 

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up. ¹ 

¹ On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony. ² 

So the Israelites set out ¹  on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paran.

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

Whenever the cloud was taken up ¹  from the tabernacle, then after that the Israelites would begin their journey; and in whatever place ²  the cloud settled, there the Israelites would make camp.

The angel of God, who was going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them, and the pillar ¹  of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

Moses went into the cloud when he went up ¹  the mountain, and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. ² 

And ¹  whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord ²  would speak with Moses. ³ 

When all the people would see the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people, each one at the entrance of his own tent, would rise and worship. ¹ 

Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

¹ On ²  the day that the tabernacle was set up, ³  the cloud ⁴  covered the tabernacle – the tent of the testimony ⁵  – and from evening until morning there was ⁶  a fiery appearance ⁷  over the tabernacle.

At the commandment ¹  of the Lord the Israelites would begin their journey, and at the commandment of the Lord they would make camp; as long as ²  the cloud remained settled over the tabernacle they would camp.

When the cloud remained over the tabernacle many days, then the Israelites obeyed the instructions ¹  of the Lord and did not journey.
