You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.

For the Lord is king ¹  and rules over the nations.

Tell the nations about his splendor! Tell ¹  all the nations about his amazing deeds!

make their descendants ¹  die ²  among the nations, and scatter them among foreign lands. ³ 

They mixed in with the nations and learned their ways. ¹ 

in order to take ¹  revenge on the nations, and punish foreigners.

I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among foreign countries.

So I will give you thanks, O Lord, before the nations! ¹  I will sing praises to you. ²

Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be happy! Let the nations say, ¹  ‘The Lord reigns!’

So I will give you thanks before the nations, ¹  O Lord! I will sing praises to you! ² 

You made us ¹  an object of ridicule ²  among the nations; foreigners treat us with contempt. ³ 

The Lord says to Edom, ¹  “I will certainly make you small among nations. I will make you despised by all humankind.

The people of the earth will quake when they hear Babylon has been captured. Her cries of anguish will be heard by the other nations.” ¹ 

“‘But I will spare some of you. Some will escape the sword when you are scattered in foreign lands. ¹ 

I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you among various countries; I will remove your impurity from you. ¹

The Lord says, ¹  “Look! I will ²  make you a weak nation; ³  you will be greatly despised!

I will scatter you among the nations and unsheathe the sword ¹  after you, so your land will become desolate and your cities will become a waste.

He says, ¹  “Stop your striving and recognize ²  that I am God! I will be exalted ³  over ⁴  the nations! I will be exalted over ⁵  the earth!”
