Then he gives a revelation ¹  to people, and terrifies them with warnings, ² 

He took five of his brothers and introduced them to Pharaoh. ¹ 

But some men from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

In the troubling thoughts ¹  of the dreams ²  in the night when a deep sleep ³  falls on men,

Remember to extol ¹  his work, which people have praised in song.

Therefore people fear him, for he does not regard all the wise in heart.” ¹ 

Then some men from Israel’s elders came to me and sat down in front of me.

and on the first day of the first month they finished considering all the men who had married foreign wives.

In a dream, a night vision, when deep sleep falls on people as they sleep in their beds.

That person sings ¹  to others, ²  saying: ‘I have sinned and falsified what is right, but I was not punished according to what I deserved. ³ 

Proud men will be brought low, arrogant men will be humiliated; ¹  the Lord alone will be exalted ²  in that day.
