The Israelites fled from before the Judahite army, ¹  and God handed them over to the men of Judah. ² 

But their prosperity is not their own doing. ¹  The counsel of the wicked is far from me! ² 

Assyria, the club I use to vent my anger, is as good as dead, ¹  a cudgel with which I angrily punish. ²

The men of Judah attacked, ¹  and the Lord handed the Canaanites and Perizzites over to them. They killed ten thousand men at Bezek.

Three hundred men lapped; ¹  the rest of the men ²  kneeled to drink water.

He altered his behavior in their presence. ¹  Since he was in their power, ²  he pretended to be insane, making marks on the doors of the gate and letting his saliva run down his beard.
