For you have said, ‘My teaching ¹  is flawless, and I am pure in your sight.’

Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes – you will see the wicked paid back. ¹ 

Then Abimelech said, “Look, my land is before you; live wherever you please.” ¹ 

But now, Jeremiah, today I will set you free ¹  from the chains on your wrists. If you would like to come to Babylon with me, come along and I will take care of you. ²  But if you prefer not to come to Babylon with me, you are not required to do so. ³  You are free to go anywhere in the land you want to go. ⁴  Go wherever you choose.” ⁵ 

He said, “My lord, ¹  if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by and leave your servant. ² 

But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your sight, please stay here, ¹  for I have learned by divination ²  that the Lord has blessed me on account of you.”

So now we are in your power. ¹  Do to us what you think is good and appropriate. ² 

The king replied to Haman, “Keep your money, ¹  and do with those people whatever you wish.” ² 

Against you – you above all ¹  – I have sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. So ²  you are just when you confront me; ³  you are right when you condemn me. ⁴ 

Yes, ¹  in your eyes a thousand years are like yesterday that quickly passes, or like one of the divisions of the nighttime. ² 

Do not be wise in your own estimation; ¹  fear the Lord and turn away from evil. ² 

Now if I have found favor in your sight, show me ¹  your way, that I may know you, ²  that I may continue to find ³  favor in your sight. And see ⁴  that this nation is your people.”

Abram said to Sarai, “Since your ¹  servant is under your authority, ²  do to her whatever you think best.” ³  Then Sarai treated Hagar ⁴  harshly, ⁵  so she ran away from Sarai. ⁶ 

I have oxen, donkeys, sheep, and male and female servants. I have sent ¹  this message ²  to inform my lord, so that I may find favor in your sight.’”

But if you are going to deal ¹  with me like this, then kill me immediately. ²  If I have found favor in your sight then do not let me see my trouble.” ³ 

So they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, ¹  let this land be given to your servants for our inheritance. Do not have us cross ²  the Jordan River.” ³ 

Go up to the top of Pisgah and take a good look to the west, north, south, and east, ¹  for you will not be allowed to cross the Jordan.

Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ ¹  I have let you see it, ²  but you will not cross over there.”

Gideon ¹  said to him, “If you really are pleased with me, ²  then give me ³  a sign as proof that it is really you speaking with me.

But the Israelites said to the Lord, “We have sinned. You do to us as you see fit, ¹  but deliver us today!” ²
