They called out to one another, “Holy, holy, holy ¹  is the Lord who commands armies! ²  His majestic splendor fills the entire earth!”

All the days of his separation he must be holy to the Lord.

You are holy; you sit as king receiving the praises of Israel. ¹ 

They again challenged God, ¹  and offended ²  the Holy One of Israel. ³ 

Let them praise your great and awesome name! He ¹  is holy!

In the camp they resented ¹  Moses, and Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest. ² 

I have not learned wisdom, nor do I have knowledge ¹  of the Holy One. ² 

“To whom can you compare me? Whom do I resemble?” says the Holy One. ¹ 

I am the Lord, your Holy One, ¹  the one who created Israel, your king.”

says our protector – the Lord who commands armies is his name, the Holy One of Israel. ¹ 

for I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, ¹  and you are to be holy because I am holy.

“Speak to the whole congregation of the Israelites and tell them, ‘You must be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.

You must be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the other peoples to be mine.

You must sanctify him because he presents the food of your God. He must be holy to you because I, the Lord who sanctifies you all, ¹  am holy.

“‘You must sanctify yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God.

“Call now! ¹  Is there anyone who will answer you? ²  To which of the holy ones ³  will you turn? ⁴ 

If God places no trust in his holy ones, ¹  if even the heavens ²  are not pure in his eyes,

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much ¹  –

For our shield ¹  belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. ² 

Praise ¹  the Lord our God! Worship ²  before his footstool! He is holy!
