You must use just balances, ¹  a just dry measure (an ephah), ²  and a just liquid measure (a bath). ³ 

You must have honest balances, ¹  honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin. ²  I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt.

I put on righteousness and it clothed me, ¹  my just dealing ²  was like a robe and a turban;

let him ¹  weigh me with honest ²  scales; then God will discover ³  my integrity.

“Do you think this to be ¹  just: when ²  you say, ‘My right before God.’ ³ 

With my knowledge I will speak comprehensively, ¹  and to my Creator I will ascribe righteousness. ² 

Then I will tell others about your justice, ¹  and praise you all day long. ² 

He will vindicate you in broad daylight, and publicly defend your just cause. ¹ 

Then he will judge ¹  your people fairly, and your oppressed ones ²  equitably.

I will give you sincere thanks, ¹  when I learn your just regulations.

I have vowed and solemnly sworn to keep your just regulations.

ע (Ayin) I do what is fair and right. ¹  Do not abandon me to my oppressors!

My eyes grow tired as I wait for your deliverance, ¹  for your reliable promise to be fulfilled. ² 

The rules you impose are just, ¹  and absolutely reliable.

Your justice endures, ¹  and your law is reliable. ² 

Your rules remain just. ¹  Give me insight so that I can live. ² 

Seven ¹  times a day I praise you because of your just regulations.

May your priests be clothed with integrity! ¹  May your loyal followers shout for joy!

To receive ¹  moral instruction ²  in skillful living, ³  in ⁴  righteousness, ⁵  justice, ⁶  and equity. ⁷ 

Kings reign by means of me, and potentates ¹  decree ²  righteousness;
