Once again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria. ¹  Those who plant them will once again enjoy their fruit. ² 

A time to be born, ¹  and a time to die; ²  a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted;

Noah, a man of the soil, ¹  began to plant a vineyard. ² 

You uprooted a vine ¹  from Egypt; you drove out nations and transplanted it.

She considers ¹  a field and buys it; from her own income ²  she plants a vineyard.

I increased my possessions: ¹  I built houses for myself; ²  I planted vineyards for myself.

They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

And there are times when I promise to build up and establish ¹  a nation or kingdom.

‘Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat what they produce.

The Lord God planted an orchard ¹  in the east, ²  in Eden; ³  and there he placed the man he had formed. ⁴ 

Abraham ¹  planted a tamarisk tree ²  in Beer Sheba. There he worshiped the Lord, ³  the eternal God.

You will bring them in ¹  and plant them in the mountain ²  of your inheritance, in the place you made ³  for your residence, O Lord, the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.

They are like ¹  valleys ²  stretched forth, like gardens by the river’s side, like aloes ³  that the Lord has planted, and like cedar trees beside the waters.

You will plant vineyards and cultivate them, but you will not drink wine or gather in grapes, because worms will eat them.

You, by your power, ¹  defeated nations and settled our fathers on their land; ²  you crushed ³  the people living there ⁴  and enabled our ancestors to occupy it. ⁵ 

the root ¹  your right hand planted, the shoot you made to grow! ² 

Does the one who makes the human ear not hear? Does the one who forms the human eye not see? ¹ 

I designed ¹  royal gardens ²  and parks ³  for myself, and I planted all kinds of fruit trees in them.
