The Lord’s deeds are great, eagerly awaited ¹  by all who desire them.

She obtains ¹  wool and flax, and she is pleased to work with her hands. ² 

For what is his interest ¹  in his home after his death, ²  when the number of his months has been broken off? ³ 

If I have refused to give the poor what they desired, ¹  or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much ¹  –

The sailors ¹  rejoiced because the waves ²  grew quiet, and he led them to the harbor ³  they desired.

She is more precious than rubies, and none of the things ¹  you desire ²  can compare ³  with her. ⁴ 

For everything ¹  there is an appointed time, ²  and an appropriate time ³  for every activity ⁴  on earth: ⁵ 

So Hiram supplied the cedars and evergreens Solomon needed, ¹ 

Is it of any special benefit ¹  to the Almighty that you should be righteous, or is it any gain to him that you make your ways blameless? ²

For wisdom is better than rubies, and desirable things cannot be compared ¹  to her.

For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, for the oppression ¹  of the king ²  is severe upon his victim. ³ 

The Teacher sought to find delightful ¹  words, and to write ²  accurately truthful sayings. ³ 

who commissions ¹  Cyrus, the one I appointed as shepherd ²  to carry out all my wishes ³  and to decree concerning Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’ and concerning the temple, ‘It will be reconstructed.’” ⁴ 

I will make your pinnacles out of gems, ¹  your gates out of beryl, ²  and your outer wall ³  out of beautiful ⁴  stones.

Israel will be swallowed up among the nations; they will be like a worthless piece of pottery.

“All nations will call you happy, for you indeed will live in ¹  a delightful land,” says the Lord who rules over all.

You must ¹  observe the Sabbath ²  rather than doing anything you please on my holy day. ³  You must look forward to the Sabbath ⁴  and treat the Lord’s holy day with respect. ⁵  You must treat it with respect by refraining from your normal activities, and by refraining from your selfish pursuits and from making business deals. ⁶ 

Then Samuel said, “Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as he does in obedience? ¹  Certainly, ²  obedience ³  is better than sacrifice; paying attention is better than ⁴  the fat of rams.
