The worthless idols will be completely eliminated. ¹ 

They will perish, but you will endure. ¹  They will wear out like a garment; like clothes you will remove them and they will disappear. ² 

If he comes by ¹  and confines ²  you ³  and convenes a court, ⁴  then who can prevent ⁵  him?

If he flees from an iron weapon, then an arrow ¹  from a bronze bow pierces him.

My glory ¹  will always be fresh ²  in me, and my bow ever new in my hand.’

You bring their lives to an end and they “fall asleep.” ¹  In the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up;

in the morning it glistens ¹  and sprouts up; at evening time it withers ²  and dries up.

Then a breath of air ¹  passes ²  by my face; it makes ³  the hair of my flesh stand up.

They glide by ¹  like reed ²  boats, like an eagle that swoops ³  down on its prey. ⁴ 

Look! The winter has passed, the winter rains are over and gone.

They sweep by like the wind and pass on. ¹  But the one who considers himself a god will be held guilty.” ² 

If ¹  he passes by me, I cannot see ²  him, ³  if he goes by, I cannot perceive him. ⁴ 

“But there is hope for ¹  a tree: ²  If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail.

“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with chiseled stone; the sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.” ¹ 

Here is a message about the Desert by the Sea: ¹  Like strong winds blowing in the south, ²  one invades from the desert, from a land that is feared.

Then Pharaoh summoned ¹  Joseph. So they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; he shaved himself, changed his clothes, and came before Pharaoh.
