Slaves, ¹  be subject ²  to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are perverse.

But ¹  a suitable day ²  came, when Herod gave a banquet on his birthday for his court officials, military commanders, and leaders of Galilee.

So then, tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers.

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,

But if you do not believe what Moses ¹  wrote, how will you believe my words?”

For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing –

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather ¹  expose them. ² 

because the person who gives him a greeting shares in his evil deeds. ¹ 

And he is also the father of the circumcised, ¹  who are not only circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham possessed when he was still uncircumcised. ² 

So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. ¹ 

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

¹ Wives, submit ²  to your husbands as to the Lord,

Therefore encourage one another with these words.

“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, ¹  do good to those who hate you,

Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ¹  ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ ² 

and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven ¹  and to all the rest.
