Now early in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.

After getting into a boat he crossed to the other side and came to his own town. ¹ 

Everyone ¹  went to his own town ²  to be registered.

Now ¹  when Jesus ²  approached ³  and saw the city, he wept over it,

(For his disciples had gone off into the town to buy supplies. ¹ ) ² 

Philip went down to the main city of Samaria ¹  and began proclaiming ²  the Christ ³  to them.

We put out to sea ¹  from Troas ²  and sailed a straight course ³  to Samothrace, ⁴  the next day to Neapolis, ⁵ 

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

Then the devil took him to the holy city, ¹  had him stand ²  on the highest point ³  of the temple,

The ¹  herdsmen ran off, went into the town, ²  and told everything that had happened to the demon-possessed men.

In those days ¹  Mary got up and went hurriedly into the hill country, to a town of Judah, ² 

So ¹  when Joseph and Mary ²  had performed ³  everything according to the law of the Lord, ⁴  they returned to Galilee, to their own town ⁵  of Nazareth. ⁶ 

So ¹  he went down to Capernaum, ²  a town ³  in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he began to teach the people. ⁴ 

While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus ¹  from one town after another, ²  he spoke to them ³  in a parable:

Whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  welcome you, eat what is set before you.

But whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  do not welcome ⁴  you, go into its streets ⁵  and say,

Then the woman left her water jar, went off into the town and said to the people, ¹ 

But stand up ¹  and enter the city and you will be told ²  what you must do.”

After they had proclaimed the good news in that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, ¹  to Iconium, ²  and to Antioch. ³ 

except ¹  that the Holy Spirit warns ²  me in town after town ³  that ⁴  imprisonment ⁵  and persecutions ⁶  are waiting for me.
