What I say to you I say to everyone: Stay alert!”

I say this as a concession, not as a command.

(To my disgrace ¹  I must say that we were too weak for that!) ²  But whatever anyone else dares to boast about ³  (I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing. ⁴ 

What did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more ¹  than a prophet.

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom ¹  on the day of judgment than for you!”

I ¹  tell you that something greater than the temple is here.

Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy-seven times! ¹ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation will be held responsible for all these things! ²
