Philip said, ¹  “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.” ² 

and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins ¹  against us. And do not lead us into temptation.” ² 

They ¹  said to each other, “Didn’t ²  our hearts ³  burn within us ⁴  while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explaining ⁵  the scriptures to us?”

No one has seen God at any time. ¹  If we love one another, God resides ²  in us, and his love is perfected in us. ³ 

By this ¹  we know that we reside in God ²  and he in us: in that he has given us of his Spirit. ³ 

Give us today our daily bread, ¹ 

But Peter ¹  said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”

Later, ¹  the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’ ² 

saying, “Prophesy for us, you Christ! ¹  Who hit you?” ² 

He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.”

Now ¹  many have undertaken to compile an account ²  of the things ³  that have been fulfilled ⁴  among us,

like the accounts ¹  passed on ²  to us by those who were eyewitnesses and servants of the word ³  from the beginning. ⁴ 

For ¹  he has raised up ²  a horn of salvation ³  for us in the house of his servant David, ⁴ 

the oath ¹  that he swore to our ancestor ²  Abraham. This oath grants ³ 

because he loves our nation, ¹  and even ²  built our synagogue.” ³ 

Give us each day our daily bread, ¹ 

The ¹  apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” ² 

But they all shouted out together, ¹  “Take this man ²  away! Release Barabbas for us!”

So they said to him, “Sir, ¹  give us this bread all the time!”

for he was counted as one of us and received a share in this ministry.” ¹
