It was the day of preparation ¹  and the Sabbath was beginning. ² 

Therefore we do not despair, ¹  but even if our physical body ²  is wearing away, our inner person ³  is being renewed day by day.

For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” ¹  Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, ¹  that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day.

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom ¹  on the day of judgment than for you!”

They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day ¹  your Lord will come.

It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

They will flog him severely ¹  and kill him. Yet ²  on the third day he will rise again.”

Then the day for the feast ¹  of Unleavened Bread came, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. ² 

and that he was buried, and that he was raised ¹  on the third day according to the scriptures,

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord ¹  will come in the same way as a thief in the night. ² 

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. ¹ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah ²  on the day of judgment than for that town!

On that day after Jesus went out of the house, he sat by the lake.

The same day Sadducees ¹  (who say there is no resurrection) ²  came to him and asked him, ³ 

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, ¹  and at that time ²  they will fast.

On that day, when evening came, Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” ² 

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.
