For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,

– children not born ¹  by human parents ²  or by human desire ³  or a husband’s ⁴  decision, ⁵  but by God.

From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

Furthermore, ¹  they did not repent of their murders, of their magic spells, ²  of their sexual immorality, or of their stealing.

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

None of the rulers ¹  or the Pharisees have believed in him, have they? ² 

They do not belong to the world ¹  just as I do not belong to the world. ² 

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David; ¹  such is my gospel, ² 

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. ¹ 

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferings ¹  and because of their sores, ²  but nevertheless ³  they still refused to repent ⁴  of their deeds.

Then ¹  I saw three unclean spirits ²  that looked like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

that we, being rescued from the hand of our ¹  enemies, may serve him without fear, ² 

(Now they had been sent from the Pharisees. ¹ ) ² 

The one who comes from above is superior to all. ¹  The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks about earthly things. ²  The one who comes from heaven ³  is superior to all. ⁴ 

So ¹  they left the town and began coming ²  to him.

Jesus replied, ¹  “You people ²  are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world.

Now as Jesus was passing by, ¹  he saw a man who had been blind from birth.
