But the Pharisees ¹  said, “By the ruler ²  of demons he casts out demons.” ³ 

and to have authority to cast out demons.

They cast out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.

So ¹  he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. ²  But ³  he would not permit the demons to speak, ⁴  because they knew him. ⁵ 

Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God ¹  has already overtaken ²  you.

So ¹  he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues ²  and casting out demons.

These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; ¹ 

After ¹  Jesus ²  called ³  the twelve ⁴  together, he gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure ⁵  diseases,

But some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, ¹  the ruler ²  of demons, he casts out demons.”

But if I cast out demons by the finger ¹  of God, then the kingdom of God ²  has already overtaken ³  you.

You believe that God is one; well and good. ¹  Even the demons believe that – and tremble with fear. ² 

But when the Pharisees ¹  heard this they said, “He does not cast out demons except by the power of Beelzebul, ²  the ruler ³  of demons!”

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons ¹  cast them ²  out? For this reason they will be your judges.

The experts in the law ¹  who came down from Jerusalem ²  said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” ³  and, “By the ruler ⁴  of demons he casts out demons.”

John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he was not following us.”

and also some women ¹  who had been healed of evil spirits and disabilities: ²  Mary ³  (called Magdalene), from whom seven demons had gone out,

Jesus then ¹  asked him, “What is your name?” He ²  said, “Legion,” ³  because many demons had entered him.

So ¹  the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs ²  rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.
