Then ¹  the chief priests began to accuse him repeatedly.

Then one of the twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

In ¹  the same way even the chief priests – together with the experts in the law ²  and elders ³  – were mocking him: ⁴ 

(For he knew that the chief priests had handed him over because of envy.) ¹ 

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release ¹  Barabbas instead.

The chief priests and the experts in the law ¹  were there, vehemently accusing him. ² 

Then ¹  Pilate called together the chief priests, the ²  rulers, and the people,

So the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus too, ¹

The ¹  next day (which is after the day of preparation) the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  assembled before Pilate

Then ¹  Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands. ² 

The ¹  chief priests and the experts in the law ²  were trying to find some way ³  to execute ⁴  Jesus, ⁵  for they were afraid of the people. ⁶ 

Then ¹  Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no basis for an accusation ²  against this man.”

and how our chief priests and rulers handed him over ¹  to be condemned to death, and crucified ²  him.

So the chief priests and the most prominent men ¹  of the Jews brought formal charges ²  against Paul to him.

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people met together in the palace of the high priest, who was named Caiaphas.

When ¹  it was early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to execute him.

The ¹  chief priests took the silver and said, “It is not lawful to put this into the temple treasury, since it is blood money.”
