Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said,

(He had four unmarried ¹  daughters who prophesied.) ² 

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,

For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John appeared. ¹ 

saying, “Prophesy for us, you Christ! ¹  Who hit you?” ² 

Then ¹  his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, ² 

Pursue love and be eager for the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, ¹  encouragement, and consolation.

The one who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, ¹  but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

For you can all prophesy one after another, so all can learn and be encouraged.

So then, brothers and sisters, ¹  be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues. ² 

I wish you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be strengthened.

They ¹  blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly, ²  “Prophesy! Who hit you?” ³ 

Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered disgraces his head.

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or uninformed person enters, he will be convicted by all, he will be called to account by all.

Concerning this salvation, ¹  the prophets ²  who predicted the grace that would come to you ³  searched and investigated carefully.

Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, ¹  even prophesied of them, ²  saying, “Look! The Lord is coming ³  with thousands and thousands ⁴  of his holy ones,

Then ¹  they ²  told me: “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, ³  languages, and kings.”

And I will grant my two witnesses authority ¹  to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.
