But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down and looked into the tomb.

and placed it ¹  in his own new tomb that he had cut in the rock. ²  Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance ³  of the tomb and went away.

And tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had died ¹  were raised.

They ¹  found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, ² 

Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us. ¹  They ²  were at the tomb early this morning,

Then Peter and the other disciple set out to go to the tomb. ¹ 

Now very early on the first day of the week, ¹  while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene ²  came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been moved away from the entrance. ³ 

So ¹  they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

Just as Jesus ¹  was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit ²  came from the tombs and met him. ³ 

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

And very early on the first day of the week, at sunrise, they went to the tomb.

They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

Woe to you! ¹  You are like unmarked graves, and people ²  walk over them without realizing it!” ³ 

Woe to you! You build ¹  the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors ²  killed.

and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven ¹  and to all the rest.

When ¹  Jesus arrived, ²  he found that Lazarus ³  had been in the tomb four days already. ⁴ 

And so, because it was the Jewish day of preparation ¹  and the tomb was nearby, ²  they placed Jesus’ body there.

When they had accomplished ¹  everything that was written ²  about him, they took him down ³  from the cross ⁴  and placed him ⁵  in a tomb.

“Woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You ²  build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves ³  of the righteous.

(They ¹  came out of the tombs after his resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.)
